Started by Mr. Nikhilesh Tiwari with his school friends, Helical Insight aims to empower Organizations with its Business Intelligence tool powered by Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Data Sciences.
Story behind the Idea of the Startup
The founders of Helical Insight have been working in BI space for a couple of years now and have seen the kind of limitations existing BI tools are having. Many times, the end business users' requirements were not met because of either tool limitation or technology limitation. Also, business users wanted instant data analysis at their end, whereas the existing set of Business Intelligence tools had a really long development cycle. That was when they decided to solve these challenges with their tool “Helical Insight”.
Product/Service provided by the Startup
Helical Insight is an Open source Business Intelligence tool powered with machine learning. Helical Insight helps organizations to connect with their data sources and extract insights from this data. These relevant insights can help businesses make proper decisions. These insights are in the form of reports, dashboards, geographical dashboards, what-if analysis, info graphs etc. The solution can be accessed via mobile or tablet or any other device. There is proper user role management in place for data security. Reports dashboards can be exported in various formats like CSV, pdf, image etc. Email scheduling option is also present.
Powered by machine learning, Helical Insight empowers end users to directly ask questions and get business answers in the form of charts via a Google-like interface. They are empowering even non-technical business users to become a data scientist.
Helical Insight is a completely API-driven framework allowing users to add functionalities at backend or frontend using their own developers. There are other USP which includes inbuilt machine learning and NLP platform as well as an HWF (Helical Workflow) allowing customers to implement their own specialized workflows inside the tool.
How is the Startup Performing?
Helical Insight is currently a team close to 50 people with regular revenue from services. They also launched their own product. Despite the product being in the beta stage they have started signing customers for the beta. They have served many customers including Fortune 500 clients like Tata Communications, CA Technologies, Technip etc.
